The global semiconductor industry is recognised as one of the world’s most critical. Every region plays a vital role in ensuring the continuity of semiconductor supply chain. Malta has a long track record in supporting organisations operating across the semiconductor value chain and is today positioned as a European hub for expertise  and resources.

The first Global Semiconductor Conference Malta, highlighting The Critical Role of the Global Semiconductor Industry, is taking place on November 18-19, 2024, bringing together industry experts, executives, analysts, and thought leaders.

The 2-day programme has been carefully crafted by Malta Enterprise, the country’s economic development agency, in collaboration with Silicon Catalyst, the world’s only incubator and accelerator focused on the semiconductor industry.

Deep Sector Expertise

Speakers from organisations including TSMC, imec, NXP Semiconductor, STMicroelectronics, Arm, Silicon Catalyst, the European Commission, and members of Malta’s own government will deliver actionable insights and thought-provoking discussion. The full programme for the conference can be found here, and speakers include:

An Inspiring Venue

The conference will be taking place in the spectacular Westin Dragonara Resort, positioned on a natural peninsula overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. For those who wish to add some social activity to their attendance and to experience some of Malta’s rich history and culture, there is an option to attend a historic Maltese dinner hosted at one of the oldest museums on the island, the Malta Maritime Museum on November 18.
To wrap up your visit to this beautiful island, the organisers have also planned a guided tour of the magnificent St John's Co Cathedral, built by the Knights of St John in the 1570s, on November 19.
