Global Semiconductor Conference Malta

The global semiconductor industry continues to be recognised as one of the world’s most critical and innovative areas. The supply chain of this industry is very complex and spreads throughout the globe. A few regions have developed strategic specialisation in within this supply chain. With its long-standing commitment to the sector, Malta has established itself as a strategic European hub for expertise, innovation, and resources, supporting organisations across the entire semiconductor value chain. Malta, excels specifically in backend operations including advance packaging although in recent years new niches have been development further expanding its role within the global semiconductor landscape.

Following the success of last year’s inaugural event, we are proud to announce the second edition of the Global Semiconductor Conference Malta (GSCM), taking place on November 10–11, 2025. This year’s theme, “The Ten-Year Race Towards a €2 Trillion Semiconductor Industry,” will set the stage for high-level discussions on the global outlook and future direction of the critical sector.

The conference will bring together leading industry experts, executives, analysts, thought leaders and venture capitalists to address the challenges and opportunities shaping the semiconductor landscape. Topics will include:

  • Geopolitical tensions and their impact on global supply chains
  • Europe’s semiconductor strategy and the Competence Centres network
  • The Chips Act: Does this suffice to power strategic autonomy?
  • Building resilience, advancing sustainability, and shaping supportive policies
  • Is U.S. policy reshaping global innovation flows?
  • Key sectors driving growth: automotive, healthcare, telecommunications, AI

The 2-day programme has been carefully curated by Malta Enterprise, the country’s economic development agency, in collaboration with Silicon Catalyst, the world’s only incubator and accelerator focused exclusively on the semiconductor industry. GSCM continues to serve as a dynamic platform for dialogue, collaboration, and strategic partnerships supporting the evolution of the semiconductor industry across Europe and beyond.

Join us in Malta as we host another outstanding edition of this premier semiconductor event.
